The money supply rate (M2) (cash in circulation outside banks) increased by almost 5 percent and amounted to 12.88 billion manats as of late August 2018 as compared to early 2018, Azerbaijan’s Central Bank said in a report.
The amount of cash money supply (M0) decreased by 7 percent to 6.9 billion manats and Broad Money Supply (M3) decreased by 5 percent to 22.88 billion manats.
The transaction money (M1) increased by 4 percent to 10.6 billion manats.

M1 = M0 + demand deposits (including bank debit cards), balances in national currency in the accounts of non-financial institutions, financial (except credit) organizations.
M2 = M1 + fixed-term deposits
