By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

Until the end of 2018, the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Association will expand the geography of its cooperation in the post-Soviet countries, head of the association, Sakina Babayeva, told Trend.

Presently, the association cooperates with colleagues in Russia, Georgia and Latvia, Babayeva said.

"We are planning to expand our cooperation in the Baltic region, as well as to establish contacts with our Belarus and Ukrainian partners. Our goal, first of all, is to accumulate the necessary experience in business. This is a rather complicated area, so we will gradually learn from the experience of other countries where this area is actively developing," Babayeva said.

She noted that before the end of 2018, it is planned to hold meetings with colleagues in Russia and Ukraine.

"For early 2019, we have scheduled meetings with businesswomen from Moldova and Lithuania. We plan to create our own offices outside Azerbaijan in order to promote women's business both here and abroad," Babayeva added.

She said that in recent years Azerbaijan has adopted a big number of legislative acts based on international experience and aimed at the national interests of Azerbaijan, providing for the promotion of entrepreneurship.

The Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Association was established in October 2017.
