The volume of industrial production in Kazakhstan increased by 4.8 percent in January-September 2018 compared to the same period in 2017, Kazakh media reported referring to the Statistics Committee of Kazakh National Economy Ministry.
In particular, the production of crude oil, natural gas, metal ores, food, tobacco, oil-refining, chemical, metallurgy, machinery, rubber and plastic products increased in the 9 months compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, the production of basic pharmaceutical products decreased in Kazakhstan.
In terms of figures, oil production, including gas condensate, amounted to 67.3 million tons in the reporting period (an increase of 5.3 percent year-on-year), while copper ore production totaled 76.4 million tons (an increase of 4.6 percent year-on-year).
Production of gasoline was 2.8 million tons (21.8 percent increase), refined copper – 300,000 tons (2.7 percent), electricity – 79.1 billion kilowatts per hour (5.4 percent), and flour – 3 million tons (10 percent).
