In January-September 2018, Azerbaijan imported 16,382 vehicles, which is 2.5 times more than in the same period of 2017, according to a report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Of the total number of vehicles imported in January-September 2018, 14,680 are cars and motor vehicles. In January-September 2017, 5,783 cars and motor vehicles were imported.
Moreover, 1,507 trucks were imported to Azerbaijan in January-September 2018 (670 in January-September 2017).
The rest of the imports accounted for other types of vehicles.
In 2017, Azerbaijan imported 13,098 vehicles compared to 5,746 in 2016.
