A meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov has been held in Brussels with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Federal State Service for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of Belgium Didier Reinders, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
"The need to intensify activities aimed at deepening economic and trade cooperation through the creation of new programs and specific partnership mechanisms has been emphasized," the message says.
The parties discussed prospects for further strengthening the cooperation in the political, economic, energy, transport and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
As for the international agenda, the Turkmen side reaffirmed its commitment to further expand its partnership with Belgium in the framework of international organizations.
The Belgian ENEX process engineering SA company, which cooperates in the processing and chemical industry, telecommunications, and the introduction of environmentally friendly energy-saving technologies, has its official representative office in Ashgabat.
