Trend:

Uzbekistan and Russia have agreed to establish a “green corridor” regime for textile and other products, Uzbek media reported.

“We are grateful to the Russian side for creating the “green corridor” for supplying fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Russia. We agreed to extend this practice to other types of our products, including textile,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said after the Uzbek-Russian talks.

According to Putin, the countries have prepared a program of cooperation in various areas, which amounts to $25 billion at the first stage.

"But if we will implement it [the program], and I have no doubt that we will, then the corridor will generate profits, create new, and high-performance jobs, will create new opportunities for our interaction," the president of the Russian Federation said.

He also added that the parties considered the prospects for cooperation in agriculture.

“In January-June, the volume of mutual trade of agricultural products increased by 30 percent. This is largely the result of the introduction of the "green corridor" system, which allows for the supply of agricultural goods across the borders of the two countries,” Putin said.
