The Uzbek Metallurgical Plant (Uzmetkombinat) supplies 500 tons of thermal insulation materials per year to Tajikistan, the Uzbek company told Trend.
The company also said its total production volume is 10,000 tons per year.
The company noted that basalt from the local Asmansay field in the Jizzakh region is used as the main raw material for the production of thermal insulation materials.
Uzmetkombinat added that the company is currently implementing a project to introduce the production of shell (pipe insulation) and hydroponics.
In January-September 2018, Uzmetkombinat produced consumer goods worth 44 billion soums, which exceeds forecast figures (33.5 billion soums) by 31.5 percent.
The production in the first nine months of 2018 exceeded the results of the same period last year (29.1 billion soums) by 51.2 percent.
The total output of marketable products in 3Q2018 amounted to 2.96 trillion soums, which also exceeds the forecast (2.75 trillion soums) by 7.6 percent and the figure for the same period of 2017 (1.58 trillion soums) by 74.05 percent.
