Trade turnover between Iran and Iraq has increased, and in order to further increase it, an Iranian products trade center will be set up in Sulaymaniyah city of Iraq, Deputy Governor of Iran’s East Azarbaijan province Ali Jahangiri said at the meeting of Iranian and Iraqi businessmen, IRNA reported.

He said that this center will be set up by the private sector and in order to export Iranian products to Iraqi city of Sulaymaniyah.

It will be the center for access to other cities of Iraq and Syria, he added.

Jahangiri added that increasing bilateral exchange created an opportunity for developing trade turnover between Iran and Iraq.

“Two friendly and neighborly countries, Iran and Iraq know each other’s markets very well and we hope that opening of this center will lead to the start of activities between the private sector businessmen of the two countries,” he said.
