An agreement was signed on Oct. 29 in Baghdad to develop cooperation between Iran's and Iraq’s civil aviation organizations, Fars News Agency reported.

This document reflects an increase in the number of flights per week from 91 to 120, as well as holding exercises, and flight safety issues, Head of Public Relations Department of Iran Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) Reza Jafarzadeh said.

He said the agreement was signed by Vice President for Aeronautical and International Affairs at CAO Morteza Dehghan and Director General of Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority Ali Khalil Ibrahim.

Jafarzadeh added that at the same time, two documents were signed between the two countries on cooperation in air traffic exchange, search and rescue operations.
