Gobustan AAC, an Azerbaijani plant producing modern building materials, plans to expand the volume and geography of its exports to foreign markets, Sarkhan Gasimov, leading sales specialist, told Trend.
He noted that the main share of exports of the plant falls on bricks and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, which are designed for construction of large facilities and residential areas.
"The building materials from our plant were used in the construction of a number of large facilities in Baku and the regions of Azerbaijan. At the moment, our products are mainly exported to Georgia and Kazakhstan, and beginning from the next year, we plan to expand supplies to these countries and also find new markets in the CIS," Gasimov said.
He noted that in addition to bricks and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, also the porous concrete, the quicklime and slaked lime, as well as the quartz sand are produced at the plant.
Gasimov noted that the products of the plant meet international standards of quality and ecology, they are fireproof and resistant to natural disasters.
Gobustan AAC is situated in the Sangachal settlement of Garadagh district of Baku. The annual production capacity of the plant is 180,000 cubic meters of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks and 30,000 cubic meters of lime. The plant is a part of the SYNERGY GROUP.
The Gobustone autoclaved aerated concrete blocks produced using the German equipment of Wehrhahn brand are distinguished from other materials by their lightness, seismic resistance, durability, high heat and sound insulation, and environmental friendliness. They can be easily processed by using conventional tools, which greatly speeds up the construction process.
Currently, the products made of autoclaved aerated concrete are used in the construction of multi-story and low-rise buildings, private houses, in laying external and internal walls, ceilings and even steps.
The Gobustone autoclaved aerated concrete blocks were used in the construction of such facilities as Port Baku Residence and Port Baku Tower, 28 Mall, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, National Gymnastics Arena, State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, the Shahdag summer-winter tourism center in Gusar, the Galaalty recreation center in Shabran and the Rixos Hotel in Guba.
