As much as 30 percent of the pistachio produced this year in Zarandieh county of Iran’s Markazi province has been exported to European countries after processing, Mohammad Barani, an official of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Organization of Zarandieh county of Iran’s Markazi province, said in an interview with IRNA.
He said that more than 10,000 tons of pistachios have been produced this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) in Zarandieh county.
He noted that 70 percent of pistachio produced in the county can be exported.
“Zarandieh county is close to Tehran and Imam Khomeini International Airport, and it has favorable conditions for exports of pistachios,” he said.
