Oil-well cement plant launched in Kazakhstan

During a national teleconference in Kazakhstan with the participation of the head of state, a cement plant in the Kyzylorda region with a capacity of 1 million tons per year was launched, Trend reports citing the press service of the region’s administration.

Li Jinqing, general director of Gezhouba Shieli Cement LLP, informed President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on the completion of construction of the plant to produce oil-well cement.

"Our enterprise is a result of the comfortable investment climate created in Kazakhstan. Our project is one of the fruits of the Kazakh-Chinese cooperation," Li Jinqing said.

Nazarbayev, in turn, wished success in the work of the plant.

The enterprise will produce 1 million tons of cement per year. Oil-well cement is widely used in the construction, oil and gas and uranium industries. As many as 260 jobs were created at the plant.
