The biggest Russian manufacturer of agriculture machinery, Rostselmash, is in talks with Grand Motors for supply of 30-50 combine harvesters to Azerbaijan, Andrey Kolesnikov, the company's sales director for Asia, told Trend Dec. 12.

"This year we tested NOVA combine harvesters, which, in our opinion, and, in our dealer’s opinion, best correspond to the agro-climatic conditions of Azerbaijan," he said. "We tested NOVA in harvest of corn and grain, and the combine proved itself very well. We are in talks with our partner regarding the sale of the combines."

He further noted that Rostselmash has experience in organizing assembly of combines outside Russia.

Kolesnikov noted that assembly of combines was organized in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

"In Uzbekistan, we are forming an assembly production together with the Uzbek government for production of 200-300 combines a year, while in Kazakhstan, assembly production of 300-500 combines per year has been established," Kolesnikov said.

He noted that the company is taking its first steps in Azerbaijan.

"We still don’t know the Azerbaijani market in order to more deeply and seriously discuss the details of assembly production," he added.
