Construction of a modern multi-specialty hospital will begin in the North Kazakhstan region next year, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh media.
At the meeting of the region’s administration, the head of the region Kumar Aksakalov said that the hospital will be built on the instructions of the president to solve systemic problems in healthcare.
"We took the Seoul National University as a model. Our specialists have studied many options and concurred that the Seoul National University, for ergonomics, location and conditions, is one of the best in the world. We will try to build such a hospital," he said.
Next to the new hospital, it is planned to build a doctors' house for 200 families.
Aksakalov also noted that next year medical equipment for 4 billion tenge will be purchased in the region. This is 3 times more than the funds allocated in previous years.
