Carlsberg Kazakhstan brewing company produces more than 30 varieties of different beer brands, the company CEO Victor Semak told Trend.
They include local Derbes, Irbis, Alma-Ata, which are one of the first Kazakh beer brands.
The products of Carlsberg Kazakhstan also include such international bestsellers as Baltika, Holsten, Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, Tuborg, Carlsberg.
The company is also working on the production of new beers.
"One of the areas where we want to be represented more widely is craft varieties. So, at the end of 2018, we launched the production of the Beerkhan brand – the strongest beer in the Kazakh market," Semak said.
Since 2017, the Dobry Bobr brand has been produced – the beer specially brewed for the East Kazakhstan region.
Founded in 1998, today the company produces more than 200 million liters of beer per year. Carlsberg Kazakhstan is the only beverage company which entered the Top-50 largest taxpayers in Kazakhstan in 2018.
It should be noted that in the three quarters of 2018, Kazakhstan produced 466.2 million liters of beer, which is 5.7 percent more than in the same period of 2017.
The main producers are Сarlsberg Kazakhstan and Efes – their combined share amounts to about 75 percent of total beer production in the country.
