Kazakh Food Contract Corp. announces 2018 grain export volume

Kazakhstan’s Food Contract Corporation exported 427,500 tons of grains and sunflower oil in 2018, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

Of these, 158,000 tons of wheat was exported to Transcaucasia, 128,400 tons of wheat to Central Asia, also 110,600 tons of barley to Iran, and 30,000 tons of wheat and more than 400 tons of sunflower oil were exported to China.

For comparison, in 2017, Food Contract Corporation exported only some 120,000 tons of grains and oilseeds.

Food Contract Corporation participates in ensuring Kazakhstan’s food security, promoting stabilization of the country’s grain market and export development.

The sole shareholder of the company is KazAgro National Management Holding.
