Uzbekistan signs framework agreement with Exim Bank of India

Country seminar of Uzbekistan was held at the Vibrant Gujarat 2019 international summit in the Indian city of Gandinagar on January 18, Trend reports with reference to UzDaily.

Adham Ikramov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan was a moderator of Uzbekistan Country Workshop with the participation of Shamil Burnashev, deputy chairman of the State Investment Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Country seminars are a mandatory part of the summit program for participant partners. Representatives of country delegations have the opportunity to inform members of government and business circles of India about the conditions and features of foreign economic activity, legal aspects and taxation, investment and export potential.

There were thematic presentations demonstrating the potential for cooperation in industry areas.

Shamil Burnashev emphasized that the intensification of relations between Uzbekistan and India is a strategic task for both countries in the coming years. The growing number of Indian companies in Uzbekistan in 2018 can be considered one of the starting points in a qualitatively new level of bilateral cooperation. There are 170 companies with Indian capital are operating in Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2019.

Afterwards, a Q&A session was held on the program of seminar where Indian business audience payed the greatest interest to the areas of health care, pharmaceuticals, production of textiles and modern building materials.

The ceremony of signing a framework agreement with the Exim Bank of India worth $ 200 million took place within the framework of Vibrant Gujarat 2019.
