Uzbekistan to build new sugar factory for 110M euros

Uzbekistan will implement a joint project with Belgium to organize the manufacturing of sugar products in the country with a design capacity of 500 tons for a total amount of 110 million euros, of which 85 million euros will be of foreign investment, Trend reports with reference to UzNews.

At the meeting of Uzbek Ambassador in Belgium Dilyor Khakimov with the General Director of Belgian company De Smet Engineers & Contractors Marc d'Udekem d'Acoz and its Chief Financial Officer Jean d’Clark, the commissioning of sugar production was discussed.

It was noted that the launch of production will increase the food potential and create new jobs in the country.

Nowadays, there are more than 10 thousand enterprises for food manufacturing in Uzbekistan.
