The European Union supports the stable development of micro-entrepreneurship in regions of Azerbaijan, Jala Hajiyeva, Executive Director of Azerbaijan Micro-Finance Association (AMFA), said in an interview with Trend.
According to her, a project is implemented by AMFA in partnership with the EU in four economic zones of Azerbaijan.
"Our goal is to support micro and small businesses in Azerbaijan. We will provide help for new entrepreneurs, along with those who wish to expand their existing businesses," she said, stressing that training for raising the financial literacy of the population is held in the regions.
Additionally, according to Hajiyeva, AMFA plans to announce contests for incentivizing competition among representatives of micro and small businesses.
She added that the Association also plans, together with the EU, to allocate investment for at least 50 entrepreneurs who receive all the necessary training.
