Licenses for creation of 28 industrial facilities with investments worth a total of 1.78 trillion rials (about $42.4 million) have been issued since the beginning of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said Mahdi Mollaei, head of Iran’s Industry, Mine and Trade Department in South Khorasan province’s Sarbisheh County, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that the licenses were mainly issued in mining, food and beverage industry.

He added that since the beginning of this Iranian year, two industrial facilities worth 14 billion rials (about $333,000) were licensed and 12 people were provided with jobs.

“So far, operation licenses were issued for 29 industrial projects worth 5 trillion rials (about $119 million) in the Sarbisheh county, and 493 people have been provided with jobs,” he said.

As the county is rich in mining materials, there is potential for industrial development, he noted.

“All conditions for investments in different spheres have been created in the county,” he said.

Sarbisheh County has a population of 40,959 people (according to the statistics of 2016).

Approximately 75 percent of the county’s population is engaged in agriculture and livestock breeding.
