Daily glass and mirror production in Iran is 500,000 square meters, Chairman of Tehran Association of Glass and Mirror Cooperative Companies Mohammad Ali Ghanbari said, Trend reports via Young Journalists Club.
He noted that 40 percent of the sector's production is exported to the Gulf countries, Turkey, Central Asia and Europe.
Ghanbari noted that 800 enterprises of the sector operate in Tehran.
"The sanctions didn't affect this sector, since we produce raw materials inside the country," he explained.
He further noted that glass plants operate in various cities of Iran, and only in Sava, Maragheh, Yazd and Mashhad there are nine plants.
Ghambari stressed that there is always demand for glass and this sector does not face difficulties in Iran.
