Ganja Aluminum Plant to boost production to increase exports

Azerbaijan's Ganja Aluminum Plant plans to expand the list of its export destinations in 2019, Director of the company Jamil Safarov told Trend.

The director noted that nowadays about 97 percent of the plant’s products are manufactured for export.

"Primary aluminum is bought by Sumgayit technological park, as well as a non-ferrous metal plant located in Ganja. Finished products, as well as varieties of semi-finished products are exported to dozens of countries around the world. The list includes former Soviet countries, as well as a number of European countries, the US, Turkey, etc.," Safarov said.

He added that Azerbaijani aluminum is imported by Greece on a permanent basis.

"We intend to increase production and export volumes," the director said.
