Turkey’s trade turnover with Turkic-speaking countries, namely, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, decreased by $429 million and reached $6.919 billion in 2018 compared to 2017, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Feb. 14.
The export of the Turkish goods to these countries amounted to $3.966 billion in 2018, which is $198 million less than in 2017.
"The import of the Turkish goods from Turkic-speaking countries totaled $2.953 billion in 2018, which is $231 million less compared to 2017," the ministry said.
Over the past three years (2016–2018), Turkey’s trade turnover with Turkic-speaking countries amounted to $25.03 billion.
"During the reporting period, the export of the Turkish goods to Turkic-speaking countries amounted to $16.288 billion, while import - $8.742 billion," the ministry said.
