Kazakh minister discloses number of industrial projects planned for this year

Some 120 industrial projects will be commissioned in Kazakhstan this year as part of the state program of industrialization, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

"In 2019, it is planned to launch about 120 projects worth 1.1 trillion tenge with the creation of 20,000 permanent jobs," Industry and Infrastructure Development Minister of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kassymbek said at an extended meeting of the board.

These projects include plants for the production of ferrosilicon in the Karaganda region (YDD Corporation, 30.6 billion tenge of investment) and for the production of ceramic granite and tiles in the Aktobe region (Zerde-Ceramics Aktobe, 6.9 billion tenge).

The minister noted that so far, more than 1,250 projects worth 7.9 trillion tenge were commissioned and 120,000 permanent jobs were created as part of the implementation of the state program of industrialization.

Last year, more than 100 projects worth 1.3 trillion tenge were launched and more than 13,000 permanent jobs were created.
