By Fakhri Vakilov - Trend:
The world-famous company Kai Shing Trading will invest $35 million in creating a unique poultry-farming mega-complex in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The administration of Uzbek Namangan region recently met with Kai Shing Trading representatives, who presented the project to the Uzbek side, called "Uzbekistan Chicken meat & Food Business".
During the presentation, Kai Shing Trading informed that they will invest $35 million in the project for four years, where 90 percent is foreign direct investment of companies from Malaysia, China and Singapore, who will finance the project alongside with the Uzbek partners. Its share in this large-scale project will be 10 percent.
"We will first bring our special breed of “kaishin” chickens and adapt them to local conditions. According to our technology, chickens graze year-round in the open air, so we need a lot of land. The quality not quantity of our products is important for us," the company said.
"The scheme is simple and understandable - we distribute chickens to the villagers and fully provide them with feed. And then we redeem the grown chickens. Our calculations state that we will attract 2,000 farms in this way. Everyone wins," said the company.
Kai Shing Trading said that in accordance with plan, the company will reach the level of 20 million birds a year within four years.
