Iran allows own airspace for 100 more flights a day amid Pakistan-India clashes

Due to tensions between Pakistan and India, 100 more flights per day started passing through Iran's airspace, said the new head of Iran Airports Company Siavash Amirmokri, Trend reports via ILNA.

He further explained that airline companies had to redirect flights and Iran was tracking the routes to help set up a new one, which is a round trip.

Amirmokri didn't say how much Iran earns from these extra flights over its airspace, but said he figure was "significant".

Speaking of Iran's newly purchased aircraft, he said the purchases have taken place, but the delivery of planes is difficult due to sanctions.

Speaking of the debts of Iranian airlines to Iran Airports Company, he said that in recent years, the demand from the airlines is about $28 million.

He also went on to mention the debt of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company to Iran Airports Company, and added that the Distribution Company.
