In 2018, 112,200 tenders by 10,700 organizations were held in Turkey, Trend reports referring to the Turkish state privatization authority.
In 2018, 21,300 tenders were held in the construction sector, 61,200 to purchase goods, 29,500 - in the service sector and 282 to purchase consulting services.
Some 17,300 tenders were canceled before the announcement of the results.
The total value of tenders held in 2018 amounted to 175 billion liras.
In 2018, the Turkish presidential administration announced nine tenders totaling 49.9 million liras, the Turkish parliament - 20 tenders totaling 8.8 million liras, the Foreign Ministry - 12 tenders totaling 41.9 million liras, the Ministry of Health - 8,100 tenders totaling 15.9 billion liras, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources — 14 tenders worth 5.7 million liras; provincial municipalities held 24,300 tenders totaling 65.1 billion liras.
