The United Engine Corporation (UEC), a part of the Rostec State Corporation, won the tender for the supply of the NK-12ST and NK-14ST industrial gas turbine engines to the Turkmengaz State Concern, Trend reports referring to the UEC.
According to the results of the tender, the UEC will supply the engines for operation at the Turkmengaz compressor stations. The UEC participates in a number of other similar tenders, as well as for the overhaul of industrial engines in operation. The UEC’s cooperation with Turkmengaz has been going on since 2011.
The NK-14ST engine is designed to drive a centrifugal supercharger of a gas pumping unit. Compared with the base engine (NK-12ST), the NK-14CT has more power and higher efficiency, has a modified flow section and turbine design. The engine works in all-climatic conditions, its life time is 100,000 hours.
