New enterprise to be set up in Azerbaijan's Jojug Marjanli village

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan (AWEA), as part of the support for residents of regions, is participating in a project to open a small enterprise for the production of ceramic toys, Sakina Babayeva, head of the association, told Trend.

She noted that the new enterprise will open in Jojug Marjanli village.

"The project is carried out through the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, with the participation of AWEA and Turkish entrepreneurs. It is expected that 75 women will be involved in the production process," Babayeva said.

She added that the opening of a new production line does not only create new jobs, but is also a stimulating factor for the population.

Over 143,000 women are engaged in business in Azerbaijan, according to statistics.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was created with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was established in October 2017.
