In January-February 2019, Azerbaijan imported almost 136 tons of medicines in the amount of $5.6 million from Georgia, Trend reports referring to Geostat (National Statistics Office of Georgia).
During the reported period, the amount of medicine imports decreased by 35.4 percent, but the value increased by 19.1 percent.
In January-February 2019, Georgia exported medicines worth $28.5 million, and Azerbaijan accounted for 19.5 percent of these.
In January-February, exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased by 25.2 percent compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $58.4 million (9.5 percent of total Georgian exports).
The main articles of Georgian exports to Azerbaijan are cars, medicines, cattle, cigarettes and other similar products.
