Iran's mine and mineral sector exports $8.3 billion worth products

Iran's mine and mineral sector has exported 51.770 million tons of products valued more than $8.2 billion during 11 months of past Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), according to Iran’s customs statistics.

Thus, the exports fell by 0.03 percent and 6 percent in terms of value and volume, respectively, as compared to the previous year, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The statistics shows that the share of mine industry in the country's foreign trade was 49 percent.

Iron ore had the biggest export rise during this time. More than 8.62 million tons of iron ore fines valued at $228.5 million have been exported, while more than 6.9 million tons of Iron ore concentrate worth $485.5 million was traded.

Iran has exported more than $3.8 billion worth steel products that included 8.4 million tons of steel chain and steel products that had 17 percent rise in terms of value and 1 percent rise in terms of volume comparing to the previous Iranian year (started March 2017).

The volume of other exported minerals was 8.8 million tons valued at $1.2 million that had 18 percent rise in terms of volume and 15 percent increase in terms of value.

The statistics shows that around 178.4 tons of metal valued at $278 million was exported during 11 months of past Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), which had 29 percent rise in terms of value and 33 percent increase in terms of volume.

The volume of Ferro alloys exports stood at 44,700 tons valued at more than $65.9 million that had 44 percent rise in terms of value and 67 percent increase in terms of volume.
