A small enterprise will open in Azerbaijan's Oghuz district to provide services for foreign tourists, with the aim of developing ethnic tourism, Sakina Babayeva, the head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, told Trend.

The company will start operations in April 2019, Babayeva noted.

"The small enterprise is being established at the expense of the funds of individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity. The company's service package includes housing for foreign tourists arriving in Azerbaijan. To do this, the company will pre-book private houses with all the amenities, as well as provide homemade culinary services," Babayeva said.

She noted that 20 houses have been prepared for rental in the Oghuz district to provide such services.

"The creation of such an enterprise was proposed by our association, and we believe that it is expedient not only from an economic point of view, but also to promote our history, cultural traditions, ethnic cuisine and other features through ethno-tourism," she added.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was created with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was established in October 2017.

Over 143,000 women are engaged in business in Azerbaijan, according to statistics.
