Uzbekistan plans to grow 1.4 M tons of potatoes this year

Uzbekistan plans to grow 1.490,660 million tons of potatoes this year, Trend reports with reference to a government decree.

The document states that this year it is planned to place the whole vegetable crops on 135,641 hectares, melons on 60,156 hectares and to produce 2.875,640 million tons of vegetables and 1.59 million tons of melons.

In 2019 Uzbekistan will produce 13.396, 437 million tons of agricultural products, of which 1.858, 789 million tons will be exported and 7.784,537 million tons will be targeted at the domestic market.

In total, 1.490,660 million tons of potatoes will be produced, of which 1.56,903 million tons will be targeted for domestic consumption.
