Russian online store Wildberries to enter Uzbek market in 2019

Russian online store Wildberries plans to enter the Uzbek market in 2019, Trend reports via Russian media.

"This year we plan to enter Europe and, maybe, even if it works out, other CIS countries. There are several countries," said the founder and CEO of the Internet company Tatyana Bakalchuk, without revealing the details.

Bakalchuk named Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan among the countries where the company's stores may appear.

Moreover, she noted that the growth of the company is planned due to the entry to the markets of other countries, the development of new categories of goods and an increase in the number of self-deliveries.

Online store Wildberries is one of the largest in Russia and sells various categories of goods, including toys, sports and baby food, electronics, books, and so on. In 2018, the company's revenue amounted to $1.7 billion.
