The number of heads of small cattle reached 66 million in Iran since March 21 till April 22 of this Iranian year (starting on March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the Iranian Statistical Center.
According to the Iranian Statistical Center report, the number of sheep and goat heads increased by 27 percent and 24 percent respectively compared to the seventh month of last Iranian year (starting on March 21, 2018).
The annual demand for Iranian red meat is about 960,000 tons, and only 10-12 percent of meat is imported.
