In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), exports of Iran's Qom province amounted to $290.2 million, which is 0.2 percent more compared to the preceding year, an official with Qom Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Moujtaba Farhadi said, Trend reports citin IRNA.
In the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2017-March 20, 2018), the province exported goods for $290.08 million, Farhadi said. Main export goods of the province in last year were rubber, metals, fuels, mineral oils, grains, chemical products and household items, he added.
In his words, main export destinations for Qom were Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Vietnam. He added that first three of these countries accounted for 72 percent of the province's total exports.
Farhadi further noted that in the first month of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), exports of Qom increased by 15.5 percent compared to the same month of the last Iranian year, while the total amount of Iran's exports via Qom's borders increased by 6 percent.
In the last year, goods worth $277 million were imported to Qom province, he added.
Farhadi called Iranian ambassadors in Turkey, China, India, the UK and France, which are the top countries in Qom's exports and imports, to address some problems in the relations between the province's exporters and importers.
