Kazakhstan reduces exports

Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $20.3 billion in January-March 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

Compared with January-March 2018, this figure decreased by 3.7 percent.

Exports for this period amounted to $13.3 billion (4.3 percent less), and imports - $7 billion (2.7 percent less).

Mutual trade of Kazakhstan with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union amounted to $4.4 billion or 0.3 percent less than in January-March 2018. Exports amounted to $1.3 billion (4.8 percent less) and imports - to $3.1 billion (1.7 percent more).

During this period, exports to Russia amounted to $1.2 billion, and imports - to $2.9 billion. Goods worth $17.7 million were exported to Belarus, while import from this country amounted to $122.5 million.

Supplies of domestic products to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $119 million and products worth $58.5 million were purchased from this country.

In turn, both exports and imports to Armenia in the first quarter amounted to $1.4 million
