Iran establishes working group to battle US cyber threats

Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology Javad Azari Jahromi has announced the establishment of a special working group at the National Center for Cyberspace to deal with US cyber threats.

"We've considered different scenarios, including a probable internet cut off. The ministry will soon announce its plan on the issue," Jahromi said, Trend reports via ICANA.

"A year ago, the Ministry of Communications has established a working group at the National Center for Cyberspace to deal with United States threats, and a variety of scenarios, threats and sanctions have been considered. Some necessary steps have been taken," he said.

The official went on to none the issue of removal of Iranian applications from Apple's Appstore.

“Although all the cloud providers in the world stopped providing services to the Iranian companies, our cyberspace was not disturbed,” he said.
