Azerbaijani company to export vegetables to more countries

Azerbaijan’s Bina Agro company, growing greenhouse vegetables, eyes to export vegetables to more countries and increase the export volume, spokesperson for the company Nazrin Hajiyeva told Trend.

“Presently, the biggest share of export accounts for the Russian market, in particular, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov and Yekaterinburg,” she said.

"Taking into account the growing demand for our products outside the country, we intend to increase the export volumes to Russia and some European countries to which our products are already supplied,” Hajiyeva said.

“We are receiving proposals about an increase in supplies to the Arab countries and intend to increase the export volume to these countries,” she said. “As for the European countries, we will supply vegetables to Germany, UK and the Czech Republic from 2020."

“The company's products are also in demand in the domestic market and are sold in stores in Baku and in other Azerbaijani cities,” Hajiyeva said. “On average, tomatoes are sold at three manat per kilogram in the market.”

Bina Agro company launched its activity in 2011 by constructing greenhouses covering an area of ​​six hectares.

The company has GLOBALGAP certificate confirming that the product has been obtained while complying with the requirements on agricultural product safety standards, as well as the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certificate that guarantees the quality and safety of the manufactured product. According to this certificate, the products can be exported to the markets of Europe, the US and Canada.
