Sugar production up by almost 6 times in Azerbaijan

The total volume of food production in Azerbaijan reached 1.29 billion manats in January-April 2019, which is 21.8 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.

The production of beverages increased by 57.1 percent up to 124.8 million manats, while the production of tobacco products went up by 21.1 percent to 33.5 million manats in January-April 2019.

In total, food, beverages and tobacco products worth 1.45 billion manats were produced in January-April 2019, having increased by 29.7 percent for the year.
