Petrol prices drop in Kazakhstan

The average petrol retail prices decrease in Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing Ranking.kz

At the end of April 2019, the price of RON92 petrol decreased by eight percent (148.3 tenge per liter), the price of RON95/RON96 petrol decreased by 5.3 percent (168.8 tenge per liter), and the price of RON98 petrol decreased by three percent (186.9 tenge per liter) during the year.

In contrast, the price of diesel fuel has increased: winter diesel price has increased by 23 percent (259.3 tenge per liter), whereas the summer diesel price has increased by 16.3 percent (191.8 tenge per liter).

By the beginning of the previous year, the total number of filling stations, gas filling stations and CNG filling stations amounted to 5,296 units, which is 4.8 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

The number of filling stations stood at 3,805 units (annual -2.6 percent), gas filling stations amounted to 1,480 (annual +29.6 percent) and CNG filling stations reached 11 units (annual +20 percent)

Turkestan region and Shymkent city are leaders by the number of filling, gas and CNG stations (842 stations, annual +4.3 percent) among other Kazakhstan regions. They arefollowed by Karaganda region (472 stations, -2.5 percent) and East Kazakhstan region (465 stations, +2.6 percent).

The largest stations network of Kazakhstan is KazMunayGas (301 stations). It is followed by Helios (292 stations), Sinooil (141 stations), Gazprom Neft (79 stations) and Royal Petrol (70 stations).

In 2017, the value of retail realization of the petroleum products on filling, gas and CNG stations amounted to 886.8 billion tenge, which is 21.3 percent more than in 2016.
