Kazakhstan, Belarus to manufacture elevators

Construction of the Belarus elevator equipment assembling plant has been launched in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe Industrial Park, Trend reports referring to LS news agency.

“Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for November-December 2019. The works on laying foundation and the installation of the prefabricated framework structure are to start very soon. The walls of the building will be built from sandwich panels,” the news report says.

“The project is estimated to be worth 202 million tenge. Zhiger Aktobe and QazBel Lift companies cover 100 percent of the cost from their own assets. The output volume of the plant is to be 300 elevators a year,” the statement reads.

The manufacture of the first elevator is expected in December 2019. The elevators will be realized within the internal market of Kazakhstan.

“Some 60-70 percent of the Kazakh market is to be supplied with elevators of local assembling. The number of employees will amount for 20 persons. At the initial stage, the assembling workshop will open. Belarus will supply all component parts,” the report says.

Viktoria Filippova-Fedina, the QazBel Lift representative stated that currently, the company is ready to equip two workshops. “The welding and leaf spring bending workshops are to manufacture doors, cabins, cables and frames,” she said.
