Kazgeology, Kazakhstan National Exploration Company continues exploration for lead, copper and manganese in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, Trend reports via the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.
The exploration is taking place on Terisakkan area of Karaganda region’s Ulytau District. The area of the work equals 176.1 square meters.
This area includes lead ore of 0.7 to 19 percent (North and South Terisakkan), copper of 3-5 percent (Jana Bek), manganese (22 percent), lead (1.2 percent) (Terisakkan).
Last year on the same territory complex of geological-geophysical work took place and a number of abnormalities of high polarization were detected.
This year detailed magnetics and electrical exploration work is to continue.
Furthermore, the structural tectonic situation of the area is to be specified, as well as the borders of the geological objects of high magnetic field on South Terisakkan mineral occurrence. It is also expected that the more detailed picture of abnormalities with more precise objects coordination will be obtained.
All of the work is being carried out using the GPS satellite equipment manufactured by Trimble R10 company.
