Turkmenistan is taking measures to improve insurance activities, Trend reports citing Turkmen State News Agency.
The issue was discussed at a government meeting. Turkmenistan's Vice Prime Minister Gochmyrat Myradov made a report on the compulsory state insurance of the personnel working in high-risk conditions against accidents and occupational diseases.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that all-round concern for the people, well-being and health of every citizen of the country, including the creation of optimal conditions for fruitful work, is the main priority of the state policy in Turkmenistan.
The State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan has a wide network in the country with over 40 branches. The organization is expanding partnerships with leading international insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as with insurance brokers.
The country has a law "On Insurance", which regulates the system of relations in the insurance market and establishes the legal, economic and organizational basis for state regulation and supervision of activities in this area.
