About 1,000 tons of tomatoes have been exported to Russia and the Gulf countries from Mirjaveh County of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province since the end of November, Mohsen Kahrazehi, Director of the Department of Agriculture of Mirjaveh County, told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Kahrazehi, the county has been exporting its tomato since 2017.
Noting that safflower has been planted in a 285-hectare area belonging to the county, Kahrazehi added that 500 tons of safflower will be harvested this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019).
Mirjaveh County of Sistan and Baluchestan Province has 3,200 hectares of gardens and 7,000 hectares of sowing areas.
