Sales of cars exceed 20% in Kazakhstan

Some 18,800 new cars were purchased in Kazakhstan in the period of January-April 2019, which is an increase of 20.5 percent compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports via Energyprom.

The majority of the cars purchase account for Almaty (5,100 units, annual +30.8 percent), Nur-Sultan (3,700 units, annual +43 percent) and Atyrau (1,300 units, annual +10.9 percent).

The significant purchases increase is also observed in Karaganda. The number of cars purchased amounted to 1,200 units here, which is 25.3 percent more than in the same period of last year.

The most popular car brands to purchase were LADA (4,700 units), Toyota (4,100 units) and Hyundai (3,500 units).

Furthermore, LADA and Hyundai are leaders in the category of cars of local manufacturing with the purchased amount of 4,700 and 3,400 pf cars respectively.

Some 59.9 percent of the car sales accounts for the Bipek Avto and Astana Motors dealership groups.

In January-April 2019 some 6,700 cars were sold by Bipek Avto which accounts for 35.6 percent of the total sale volume.

Furthermore, the Astana Motors realized up to 4,600 cars or 24.3 percent of the total volume.

In turn, Viraje leadership company also sold some 1,100 of cars which accounts for six percent of the total volume.
