In May 2019, the number of registered transactions of purchase and sale of housing in Kazakhstan amounted to 27,510, which is a decrease of 2.4 percent compared to the previous month, Trend reports referring to the Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, the number of transactions of purchase and sale of housing in January-May 2019 increased by 20.5 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.
The largest volume of transactions was registered in Almaty city. Here this number amounted to 4,711 transactions, which is 69.7 percent more than in May 2018. Furthermore, during period of January-May 2019 this number increased by 50 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Almaty is closely followed by Nur-Sultan city (former Astana) with 3,538 transactions, which is 5.5 percent more than in May of the previous year. During period of January-May 2019 this number increased by 13.8 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Karaganda region is third by the volume of purchase and sale of housing transactions. Here the number of transactions equaled to 2,850 cases, which is 24.5 percent more than in May 2018. Furthermore, during period of January-May of current year this number increased by 10.2 percent compared to the same period of previous year.
In turn, the least amount of transactions (671) was in Kyzylorda region, which, however, is 17.9 percent more than in May 2018. During period of January-May 2019 the number of transactions in Kyzylorda region increased by 19.1 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
