Kazakh venture decreases coal extraction

Kazakhstan’s coal-extracting venture Karazhyra has decreased the volume of coal extraction, Trend reports with reference to Inbusiness news agency.

“The coal manufacturing volume of Karazhyra volume decreased by 18.3 percent during first four months of 2019, compared to the same period of last year,” the report said.

“This decrease is due to purchasers’ refusal of the part of a claimed planned volume of consumption,” the statement said.

Karazhyra field was discovered in 1967. It is situated 135 kilometers away from Semey city of South Kazakhstan region. The value of industrial reserves of coal of the field amount to 1.231 billion tenge.

Karazhyra LTD is involved in the coal extraction since 2002. The venture is extracting over six million tons of coal a year.
