Amount of deals on Uzbek Commodity Exchange hits nearly $116M

Deals concluded on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) amounted to 990.2 billion soums ($ 115.9 million) on June 17-23, 2019, which is almost at the level of the previous weeks (1 trillion soums), Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total amount of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship has also remained almost unchanged and amounted to - 549.5 billion soums.

The volume of exchange trading decreased from 922.5 to 855.7 billion soums. The currency trading platform sold goods for the export in the amount of $3.4 million.

The 57 percent of export accounted for cotton fiber of various grades, 21 percent for polyethylene, 20 percent for petroleum oils of various grades, and other products amounted to 10 percent.

Similar changes were noted in the exhibition trade fair system, the volume of which reached 39.4 billion soums or increased by 40.3 percent compared to the previous week.

The amount of goods purchased by small businesses through online trading amounted to 11.2 billion soums, or 29.4 percent of the total amount of transactions.

Last week, transactions concluded through xarid.uz, a special information portal on government procurement, increased from 65 billion soums to 92.4 billion soums, or by 42.1 percent.

The total savings of budget and corporate customers exceeded 18.5 billion soums.

In the reporting periood, 739 car license plates were sold through an online auction.

The cumulative amount of sold state license plates was about 2.7 billion soums.

As a result of competitive bidding, 18.1 percent of deals were made on premium class license plates, 54 percent of deals on category 2 and 27.9 percent on category 3 of license plates.
