Turkmenistan and Afghanistan have signed two memoranda of cooperation in Herat, on the establishment of a joint venture (Super Cola beverages Manufacturing Co) and on the construction of a poultry farm, Trend reports referring to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).
Moreover, a cooperation agreement was signed between the UIET and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Afghan province of Herat.
In 2018, the bilateral trade between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan amounted to about $684 million, which is significantly higher compared to the figures in 2017.
During talks between the two countries, possibilities of establishing different types of joint cooperation in the production of industrial goods, in agriculture, services and other industries are considered.
